Why one ritual isn’t enough — how returning to your intention and gently boosting the energy over time supports your magick and spiritual growth.

We need inner strength, clarity, and trust — not only in what we do, but in who we are.
Over the past few years, two members of our family went through a very complicated situation. And when someone in a family goes through a difficult time, it affects everyone. In that sense, our whole family went through a period where protection was very important. It wasn’t only about physical safety. It was also about staying calm, clear, and grounded on an emotional and spiritual level.
Alongside the practical things that needed to be done, we worked with meditation and magickal practices.
And it helped.
The spiritual work we did — including Sigil Magick, other forms of magick, healing, and meditation — supported us while we took the practical steps that were needed. There was a fair outcome, or at least it felt that way at the beginning.
I won’t go into the details of the challenges we faced. They involved a situation where clear boundaries were needed. For a while, there was some peace — but sadly, not for long. Once again, staying grounded, aware, and protected became important.
This may sound dramatic, and in a way it is — sadly. But it has also been deeply teaching. It has motivated us to work on ourselves and to use the tools I teach here in this online school even more consciously and consistently.
What we learned most clearly is this:
Many spiritual teachings say: Set your intention and then let it go.
There is truth in that. Letting go helps us release fear and the need to control.
But from my own experience, I’ve learned something important:
Letting go does not mean forgetting or giving up.
Magick and energy work are not something you do once and then never touch again. A ritual or magickal work is not the end. It is the start.
I use the words “ritual” and “magickal work” interchangeably here, because people work in different ways — some through traditional rituals, others in a more modern or intuitive style. What matters is not the form, but the intention behind it.
After a magickal ritual — one focused on protection and on bringing awareness and balance to a difficult situation — we learned not to simply walk away from the energy we had worked with.
What became clear to us was that the ritual itself was only the beginning.
What truly made a difference was what we did after the magickal work.
We continued to support the intention by gently boosting the energy again and again. And looking back, I can see that after the positive outcome we experienced before, we should not have stopped doing that. We should have continued supporting the intention — at least in our case.
I will explain later on how we strengthen the energy of an intention and make it more powerful.
Through this, we learned something important: no matter what kind of work we are doing — manifestation, magick, healing, or intention work — it helps to think of it like caring for a plant.
You water a plant so it can grow. You don’t water it once and expect it to thrive forever on its own. You return to it, again and again. And with an intention, it’s the same. If you don’t continue to nurture it, you can’t expect it to keep growing on its own.
Sometimes magick or spiritual work shows results quickly. Sometimes it doesn’t.
There can be moments where things feel stuck, or even harder than before. That doesn’t mean the practice isn’t working. Often, change happens quietly first, on levels we can’t see right away.
At times, it felt like the situation became worse — but in the end, the outcome was better than we had expected.
Patience is part of the path.
We are not helpless. We carry energy, awareness, and inner strength within us. When we keep returning to our practice — whether that’s meditation, witchcraft, energy work, or quiet reflection — we build trust in ourselves.
Magick is not about forcing outcomes.
It’s about staying connected.
We have experienced positive outcomes before, and we trust that we can again. Life is not always linear. Sometimes challenges return, and when they do, we return to our work as well — with more awareness, more clarity, and more commitment.
Spiritual paths are not straight lines. They move, pause, and change. What matters is that we keep showing up in our own way.
If there is one thing I want to share with you, it is this:
One ritual can open the door.
Returning to it keeps the door open.
With all that said, let’s get practical.
There are many ways to practice magick. Some people prefer traditional rituals, while others work in a more intuitive, free-flowing way. What matters most is that it feels right, respectful, and aligned for you.
This is how I like to work. And when I say “we,” I mean the way I work together with someone — because I believe working together can be even more powerful.
When we begin a magickal working or ritual, we first create a safe and calm space. We invite our Spirit Team, ask for protection, and welcome support and guidance. Sometimes we also connect with the energies of the four directions or the elements — or whatever feels right in that moment.
For the ritual or magickal work itself, you might use a candle. You can write your intention on the candle or speak it out loud. Another simple option is to hold your palms facing each other, imagine an energy orb forming between your hands, and place your wish or prayer into it.
There is no need for complicated words. Clear, honest intentions are enough. Do what feels meaningful to you — this could be a short meditation, a spoken prayer, or a quiet moment of focused presence.
There are many different ways to practice energy work, and I won’t go into all of them here — that would simply be too much for one post. Instead, I want to focus mainly on what comes after the ritual: how to strengthen and gently boost the energy of an intention over time.
When the magickal work or ritual feels complete, take a moment to give thanks to the Spirit Team and energies you invited. Gratitude helps close the space gently and respectfully.
This is the part that changed everything for us.
What made the biggest difference was not just doing the ritual once, but returning to it and gently boosting the energy again and again.
Instead of ending the work there, we continue to support the magick afterward. This does not mean repeating the ritual itself. It simply means returning to the energy that is already there and refreshing it — giving it more strength, clarity, and stability.
We imagine all the energy of the ritual gathered together in a glowing bubble. This bubble holds the intention and the work that was just done. We place our hands over it, breathe in slowly, and then breathe out toward the bubble — as if gently blowing life into the magick.
Then we take it one step further.
We imagine that the energy we just added becomes stronger — and we gently boost that boost again. This doesn’t need to be dramatic. It’s more like quietly saying: Yes, this matters. I’m still here with this.
You can repeat this process daily, weekly, or whenever it feels right. Even a short moment of connection can strengthen the work.
Magick doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
It only needs care and attention.
If you ever feel that a specific intention, manifestation, healing work, or magickal practice needs a little more strength — a little more focus, trust, or support — this is a simple way to return to it.
Try it in a way that feels safe and aligned for you.
And remember: magick grows when we stay connected to it.
If this way of working with magick speaks to you, you might enjoy our Sigil Magick course.
Sigil Magick is a simple and creative way to work with intention. It helps you turn a wish, prayer, or focus into a personal symbol — a sigil — that carries your intention on an energetic level. In the course, we explore both traditional ideas and intuitive, free-style approaches, always with respect, clarity, and grounded practice.
Sigils can be used in rituals, meditation, or quiet daily moments. They are especially powerful when combined with ongoing energy work — like returning to your intention and gently boosting it over time.
If you feel called to explore this path, you can learn more about the course here:
There is no right or wrong way to work with magick. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and trust your own inner guidance. If you enjoy working with intention in a simple and creative way, you might enjoy the next step.
